I’m sad - this was advertised as a romance but was actually a story about corporate espionage with a dash of romance. I spent the first 35% wondering what age range this was supposed to be because the characters seem young. Not in a great way either. Like YA characters supposed to be adult-ish. I absolutely could not put down her first two books, making her an instant read author for me, but this one was a let down. As always, her writing style is impeccable, but the characters seemed underdeveloped and dealt with heavy hitting topics in a way that was not fully developed either. Like there were some slapped on character tropes that were a part of them in name only. This one wasn’t for me. Bummed!
