Perpetual people pleaser, Dee Kwan learns how to stand up for herself and speak truth in the face of injustice in this latest romance from Canadian Lily Chu.

I really enjoyed this story featuring two biracial Asian Canadians who bond online over a role playing game only to find themselves working together at the same Toronto fashion company.

Hired as a diversity consultant, Dee quickly learns her online friend Teddy, isn't who she thought but is actually the the CEO's son and heir. Together they team up to help uncover the toxic corporate culture but the road to making effective changes is not an easy one and neither can resist entering into a forbidden IRL romance.

Good on audio narrated by Phillipa Soo and perfect for fans of authors like Jackie Lau and books like Role playing by Cathy Yardley or Love interest by Clare Gilmore. This book balanced romantic love with workplace and family drama perfectly and I absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!
