Full disclaimer: This is the first full book of poetry I've ever read. I picked it up because of the horses on the cover. I do not pretend to be a poet or scholar.

This book was...fine. There were a few gems of poems, but overall it was pretty mediocre, in my humble opinion. A handful of poems impressed me and made me think, but the rest were either unremarkable (most) or strange (a few). The horse poems were some of the best.
