at first, I really didn't like it but then I was hooked, say what you want about Colleen Hoover but she can write a book with an incredible twist. I do not enjoy how she romanticizes cheating, and although Verity is called out for being the villain she is, the protagonist gets away with plenty of shady behavior without showing any remorse. Also, it feels like her books are a little darker than they have to be. The very beginning how the main character and love interest met felt unnatural and uncomfortable. Despite this, I was very invested in this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everybody's so creative!

I felt the bonus chapter actually detracted from the overall story. The book was a good mix of the dark romance and thriller genres. If you enjoy morally corrupt and questionable characters in your works of fiction, you will like this book. If you don’t enjoy those things, skip it.

Damn it had a good twist and lots of smut that became part of the story. This isn't the type of book I'd normally read (historical fiction like Da Vinci code is my favorite stuff), but this had me page turning for sure. There was something so incredibly unsettling about one of the characters that just got deeper and deeper with every page. There were many images from reading that kept me up at night for sure. 

A good one, just be prepared for for the aggressive smut throughout.
