Not the most intelligent book I've read. I wonder if the author wanted this to be humor, romance or adventure. It's not very good at any of these though.
The story is unintelligent to put it mildly. Aliens running around in Armani costumes falling madly in love after seen a voman for less than an hour humping each other in elevators and ridicolous background story which a bit more than half way through the books starts to get into the religious realm.
This one goes into the rubbish shelf I'm afraid.

You know those books where you had a day and now you want to read something that won’t make you think too hard, is hugely entertaining, and has witty banter and romance thrown in? This is your book. With a cast of interesting and engaging characters, this book is fast paced and entertaining and just what I wanted.
Kitty gets thrown into the world of hot aliens when she kills a super being and winds up recruited. Chaos ensues and Kitty makes sure there’s tunes and sarcasm for every moment as they seek to eliminate the threat.
If you’re looking for an extremely complicated [serious] sci fi novel, this one’s probably not for you. But a kickass heroine, hot guys, and snark? Oh yeah, count me in!
3.5 stars
“You come from Planet Hunk, sent to Earth to protect and serve. And make the ladies happy.”

"You're really good under pressure," Lorraine said.
"I'm really good at panicking with style."

Another paranormal urban women's fantasy. The fantasy: The heroine is smarter than NASA scientists and a better leader than military commanders. Guys drool all over her and her love interest is an empath who comes running to comfort her when she has a nightmare. The paranormal: Oh yes, those guys who drool are all hunky hot aliens. Silly stuff. I kept with it because it made me laugh out loud. Plus, Koch name checks Steinem & Friedan; has her heroine talk about positively about feminism; gives major parts to a gay couple; and writes about a Jewish-Christian mixed marriage. There was enough interesting stuff in here to balance out the ridiculous logic leaps. A fun book.
2.5 stars. I started out enjoying this book but became more annoyed with it as the pages flew by. I know you usually have to suspend disbelief when reading books like these, but everything always worked out TOO perfectly.
The heroine...well, she is smart and snarky and ALWAYS knows what to do in a bad situation. Her parents' backstories were, frankly, ridiculous. With no experience, she is placed in charge of the aliens' mission to eradicate the bad aliens. Oh, and she has two drop-dead gorgeous guys who fall madly in love with her at first sight and who fight over her nonstop. Give me a break.
The writing flowed smoothly, but other than that, I can't really say much for this book.

With a title like that what could go wrong?
The cover art is great and I fell for it. It snagged me real good.
The summary contains a buncha key words: “sexy marketing manager”, emphasis, as you see, on “sexy”, “Alpha Centauri male in Armani”, emphasis on “Alpha” and “Armani”, and “handsome hunk”, emphasis on “hunk”.
1. sexy – stands for an incredibly arrogant and annoying female lead. She will have a herd of men chasing after her ass, and she will choose the hunkiest one;
2. Alpha – main male character who is better than any other male in the book (or Universe), and will do everything better, faster, stronger than anyone else. He will steal yo girl most probably;
3. Armani – suggests personal wealth, very important;
4. hunk – being rich and powerful is never enough, you must be incredibly attractive or you won't make the cut. Expect constant reminders of this throughout the book.
The tone of this summary also strongly suggests that this will be a "funny" story. Brace for it.
After all this, I still went on and read the book. I should've known better.
So we got:
- A bunch of hunky agents

- A male MC who’s behaving like an overly attached puppy
- Poor humor
- Aliens (of course)
- Romance
- Alien Romance (??)

- Everyone worships our main character (Mary Sue where are you)
- And a main character who fell in love with our Alpha hunk after only one week.
I should've known better.

The Kitty Katt series is one of the funniest, most fun, most action-packed, and romance-filled series out there... there is simply nothing not to love about it. Highly recommended for Charlie Davidson (by Darynda Jones) fans, as it has the same kind of humor, kick-butt heroine, and sizzling romance.
"In real life, there are no superheroes. Of course, this doesn’t mean there are no superpowered beings. But never fear—I’m on it. Yeah, it doesn’t sound all that comforting to me, either."--Kitty.
The story is told from the POV of Kitty, a regular girl who gets sucked into the world of aliens and super-powered beings who want to wreak havoc and chaos on Earth. She is smart, clever, quick on her feet, funny, kind of dense at certain places, always ready to move, and rather uncomfortable with doing nothing. She is super funny and super awesome, though a fair warning: she is also slightly too perfect. It's not that as a character she is too perfect because she has her bad traits, but in this book, she is always right, always realizes the plan, always finds the mistakes others--much smarter others--have not noticed, always makes the crazy plans that work remarkably well, even when logic says they probably shouldn't. It makes her one kick-butt, awesome, strong character, but in this book, it felt slightly too much. Don't worry, though, I can promise it gets better with the next books!
“My crazy's working a lot better than your sanity.” --Kitty
Alongside Kitty is a variety of supporting characters that are to die for!
The first is Jeff, Kitty's main love interest, and the hot, sexy, funny, smart, possessive, jealous, hot-headed, Alpha male, alien we all can't help but love. Jeff is really great, and a total fit for Kitty as far as I'm concerned. Of course, I feel obligated to mention that all the aliens are drool-worthy.
Then there is James Reader, who is probably one of my favorite characters in the entire series. He's a super-male-model turned top operative for our favorite alien group. He is also, unfortunately, gay, or else I would've begged for a date long ago. Alas, all the good guys are either married, gay, or have no face! (Wonder who caught that joke?)
Then there is Kitty's mother and father; Angela and Sol, Jeff's cousin and close friend; Christopher, James's Boyfriend; Paul, The "Alien Pope"; Richard, the designated Driver; Tim, The "Dazzlers" and many many more. The series doesn't lack in characters and the best part? You can actually keep them straight!
“Once you go alien, you really do never go back.”
The romance is really funny and really sweet at places, and pretty damn hot. It's also pretty insta-love, but there are a few things that stopped me from disliking it;
a) so many things happen in so little time that it feels like months had passed, while in reality, it has only been a few hours. That gives the illusion that their love has not been as instantaneous as it is.
b) Kitty and Jeff are pretty charming. I know I can possibly fall for Jeff in a matter of hours (and I know I fall for James in like two seconds), so it'll be pretty hypocritical of me to hate on Kitty because of that.
c) They fit too perfectly for me to feel their instant love is unbelievable.
Final verdict? Insta love and all - I approve and love this particular romance!
Also, I have no idea what they all want from her, she's not that dense (this time) - If I had been in her place I would not have figured out
One of my favorite thing about this book is the Jew part of it. Kitty's father is a Jew, and there are a lot of Holocaust, Puritanism, and bigotry comments in the book - all going against said things, of course, with a passion. It was nice to see that view reflected in a book.
Add to that a mountain of world views I highly agree with, both from the A-Cs and our favorite heroine, and you get a very happy me who feels it's easy to relate, agree, and see how good a people those aliens really are.
“We think a person should do right because it's right, not because their soul will be in eternal jeopardy if they don't toe the line.”
There are only a few things that bothered me about the book. As mentioned before; Kitty's instant perfectness in the field situation and how she realizes and solves things so easily. The other one is that I find it hard to believe Aliens from faraway planets and galaxies have such a similar religion to ours. It sounds... too convenient.
All in all, this is a fun, action-packed, funny, easy, read that flies away, and one of my favorite worlds and series to re-visit!
