This book was good, I am glad that I got around to reading my first Agatha Christie book, however, it wasn’t amazing. I felt like I was forcing myself to read it and try to like it. I wish it was more thriller, although it was more of a cosy mystery, which is not really my vibe.
I had high hopes for this book which slowly flickered away as the months dragged on. I couldn’t bring myself to read it because it was so slow. I would read a chapter and then take a nap. It didn’t pick up until the last three chapters. I was invested enough to finish and solve the mystery, but overall it was pretty boring. There’s a lot of political commentary which surprised me, especially about the state of the world in the 60s.
