Ich habe das Buch zu Halloween gelesen – was sich nicht lohnt, da bis auf eine Halloween-Party, auf der ein Mord passiert, keinerlei Gruselstimmung aufkommt.
Was mir gefallen hat: Ariadne Oliver ist dabei. Der Krimi war leicht zu lesen und spannend geschrieben wie alle Christies. Die Story und die Atmosphäre hat mir auch grundlegend gut gefallen.
Doch gibt es einen großen Kritikpunkt: Ich habe fast die komplette Auflösung, wer, wie, warum den Mord verübt hat, erraten. Von der Schwierigkeit also eher durchschnittlich bis unterdurchschnittlich (für einen Christie), vergleichbar für mich mit Peril at End House. Aber da Ariadne Oliver dabei war und ich den Vibe irgendwie mochte: 4/5 Sterne.

I so don’t understand why this is called A Haunting in Venice, when there is no haunting and they aren’t in Venice??
Maybe I’ll try again in the future… I just got busy and never had an interest picking it back up

I personally do better with Agatha Christie novels when I listen to the audiobook. I’m really not sure what it is but I just can like only finish them when it’s an audiobook
4.5 stars- Felt a bit slow in the first 40-50 pages, but once I got introduced to more clues and different paths of thinking it got a lot more interesting. Very dialogue heavy. As always with her books, I loved the big unraveling of the mystery and it's explanation at the end! (Interesting theme at the end as well.) Exciting, fairly fast Halloween read.
