This was a good ending for the entire series. I really liked how the whole world/plot came together, it was super detailed and interesting. I wish we got more of the characters but I don't think that was the point, more about humanity/civilisation.

I… can’t even begin to describe my feelings for this book.
Every time I think it has to be ending, has to get better, things get more dire.

This series has made me live and die at the same time. I CANNOT!
But this last book is the one that drove the dagger home.

The despair of it all. The struggle to be the one left standing at the end.

And the heartbreak I experienced at the end of it all.
If not for the fact that I was out in public, I would have cried.

I fear that I’m making no sense, so I will leave it at that.

I struggled through the tedious battle scenes and increasingly complicated explanations of the scriving tech, thinking this would end up being a three star read.

Then the last 100 pages, especially the epilogue, hit me and the book redeemed itself. Excellent rendered prose that didn’t feel melodramatic, though it certainly could’ve ended that way. Wonderful ending to a great series.
