This book was fun and it kept me reading. It is basically [b:The Devil Wears Prada|5139|The Devil Wears Prada (The Devil Wears Prada, #1)|Lauren Weisberger|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388179604l/5139._SY75_.jpg|38765] for the next generation. I appreciated the themes related to technology and the generation gaps, but I had a problem with someone in their young 40's being a Luddite. It just didn't ring true. Perhaps if Imogene had been aged up, it would have felt more realistic. Overall though, it was a good read and I found myself staying up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it.
I know--five stars for chick lit? But I loved this book and completely devoured it. I had so much fun reading it. I could totally see it as a movie. Easy, fun, light yet relevant read.
Was listening to a "tech bitches" chapter (yes, I audio book fm the public library everything these days) when "Open Letter to my CEO" (https://medium.com/@taliajane/an-open-letter-to-my-ceo-fb73df021e7a#.6w1qc1bel) started circulating the interwebz. IS LIFE IMITATING ART?
Book was charming. But damn! If they had just cut the scene with Imogen's daughter and Eve at the Glossy office, the final Candy Cool scene would have been much more satisfying.

Good easy read for the summer. Lots of pseudo references to real people and things (soul cycle, Eva Chen, etc) which I didn't love.
This was a fun read once you get past the fact that a 42 year old had never heard of Twitter, Instagram and had a difficult time mastering an iPhone (seriously?) It seemed she had been in an alternate universe for years instead of six months. Just go with that premise and enjoy the crazy ride of twenty-somethings taking over the world and this was fun.
Totally reminiscent of the movie "All About Eve" (oh wait, the protagonist is named Eve, quite the coincidence) brought into the digital age.

Fun summer/beach read. I started with the book but ended the story with the audio and I also LOVED the audio. The narrator is fantastic!
It was a quick summer read. Not a lot of substance. Fairly predictable. But still a nice one for the beach or pool when you don't want to have to think or concentrate.
"An outrageously stylish, wickedly funny novel of fashion," pop culture and technology that is pure entertainment. The audiobook is absolutely superb! The reader is over the top - loved the accents, the flair and drama. A great summer read.
I couldn't help but think who would play Imogen and Eve if a movie was made ... I vote for Kate Winslet (Imogen) and Jennifer Lawrence (Eve). :)

Awesome! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK! It was an amazing journey from start to finish. After seeing it at a friend's, I read the synopsis and immediately ordered in from my library. And let me tell you, I am SO GLAD I did. I read this all the way through in one go. And just so you know, I don't normally read adult books. I read YA. But this, though out of my comfort zone, was well worth it. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions, from start to finish. I was annoyed, mad, laughing, feeling like crying, and at the very end of the book, whispering about how I wanted to go into the book and punch Eve in the face. Please excuse my bloodthirstiness. But I HATE EVE! She was a sociopathic bĂtch with no regards for anyone but herself.
So all in all? 5 stars. I know next to nothing about fashion, but I didn't need to know much of anything for this book, and you'd think I would. :)
