An immersive action packed journey with second chance romance.
This is the third book of the series and gives the reader further bonds between the much loved characters. The diverse bunch represent gender, sexuality and mental health very well. They do feel like a real family. The multiple points of view are great as we get more of Lennox in this book.
The romance is so swoon worthy, with angst and sacrifice in this book. Loved these parts of it.
At times the pacing is intense and seems rushed. The end is a cliffhanger and I would rather the last two books be a chunky read so I could read on - luckily I could as the series is finished. Had I read the book prior to the others release I would have been mad.
The book also includes a summary of book two and a dramatis personae, which is a lovely touch.
Thank you to the author for an E-ARC. This is a voluntary review of my own thoughts.

5 ⭐ CW (provided by author): homophobia, infertility, parental loss, a character struggling with depression and disordered eating, strong language and explicit sexual content

Songs of Loss by Nicole Bailey is book three in the Siren's Call series. I always fly through Nicole's books, because her characters are always so compelling and lovable.

We pick up with the gang as they try to figure out the prophecy that involves elementals and their Atallas. Although the plot continues in this book, it's mostly character focused, giving us more insight into the relationships of Shaan and Lennox, and Lira and Sai. Lennox had so much growth this book! My poor baby is finally figuring out that he isn't worthless. Shaan finally got out of his own way and set his ego aside. Now Sai has to catch up with the rest of the group not hating Lennox.

I was so happy for Luz in this book! No spoilers, but it's pretty emotional and a big boon for our main cast. I like the focus on Margo in this book as well. She's a good friend to Lira even if she is also prejudiced against the Prasanna.

That cliffhanger was rough! Although I didn't cry like the title made me think it would, I was still pretty shook. I don't know what I'm going to do when I finally finish this series.

First of all I need the next book like yesterday. The one thing I know about Nicole is that her books are enthralling and angering. This story is too good. I'm attached to too many characters. I can't believe the book is over, and I need more of this story ! Book 3 in the series, and it packs a punch, Sai and the gang are back in an epic journey that has definitely not reached the end. Each twist and turn brings the story a new edge and has me flipping through the pages faster. I started this in the morning today, and I can not believe I've finished it. I'm not good at being patient.
