Hidden Truths is the third book in the Perfectly Imperfect series.  I’ve been enjoying reading the first two books but I have to admit this was my least favorite so far.

Not much really happened throughout the story and when things finally start to happen, it all felt a bit too rushed. I would have loved a bit more development and depth in those moments.

There isn’t much more I can say about this book. It is an easy read and I had a good time, so I rated it 3.5⭐️ and as always, I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

What I've learned after 3 books,

Everyone is freaking nuts. Lol. I haven't been one for mafia styled books but I'm really enjoying these. Medium spice & lots of humor.

Angelina being an absolute imbecile cost this a star. ANOTHER ONE

This book was dark, intense, and so emotionally layered — and honestly, I really enjoyed it.

Sergei is such a complicated character. He’s violent, terrifying, and barely holding it together… but the moment Angelina shows up, something shifts in him. There’s this raw, primal need to protect her, even when he doesn’t fully understand it himself. I love broken, dangerous men in dark romance, and Sergei definitely fits that bill — but what got me is how vulnerable he is beneath all that rage.

Angelina has been through so much, and her strength quietly shines through. She’s scared and trying to survive, but she never gives up. Watching her slowly start to trust Sergei (even when she really shouldn’t) felt so tense and real. Their bond isn’t sweet — it’s messy, full of fear and attraction and pain — but somehow it works.

This one definitely had more of a captor/prisoner vibe at the start, so it’s not a light read by any means, but I liked how the emotional connection between them slowly developed. The steam was intense (as expected!), but I also appreciated the quieter moments between them — the ones that made me pause and feel for both of them.

A solid 4 stars for me. This series keeps pulling me in deeper with each book.

Cute.

Aw it was so sweet! Sergei was a complex character, I loved reading his story. Angelina was a good character, except for the whole reason she left, Sergei was one tough MF and for her to think otherwise wasn't really believable. I enjoy the simplistic yet complex storyline. It is the perfect brain rot.
