This book was absolutely phenomenal. It was completely enthralled from the very start. You won’t find a more detailed and well researched book than this. Che basically wrote in a journal every day of his life and was constantly writing letters to his loved ones so you can basically understand how he was feeling almost every day of his life. Che is such an inspiration and gives so much hope for a better world. I hope one day his vision comes true

The life of the revolutionary hero was well told and given the space and context needed. The story of Che Guevara is one with many ups and downs and this biography gave it the proper reverence and accuracy.

I am not sure this story of Che nor the writing of this book made me admire Che. Although he appears to be someone committed to his ideals I am not sure that his ideals are ones that I really admire. The writing style also did not made me more eager to read more.

What a magnificent work. I was absolutely blown away at the depth of the research done for this biography. Very long but very informative.

The accusations from other reviewers that the author was too "pro-Che" or insufficiently anticommunist are laughable. This is hardly an idealistic hagiography of the man, and the author is quite upfront with his criticisms of Che and certain actions of his. Unfortunately, to many Americans, any media dealing with Communism or Communists will be accused of bias if it does anything short of painting all the figures and movements involved as demons incarnate.
