I couldn't put this book down, it was really a page-turner. It kept me up at night, both reading and thinking about it. I would have given it 5 stars, but to be honest, I skimmed through a lot of Watney's math explanations.

This book was awesome. It reminded me of Apollo 13, which is one of my favorite movies. There is some cursing but otherwise it's a clean read. It was a very engaging, on the edge of your seat type of story (though I did skim through some of the science and math calculation stuff). And this totally needs to be a movie

What a perfect book. I have absolutely no complaints. Such a great mix of science, engineering, pressure, and nail biting situations. Unbelievable to think this was Weir's first book.

An incredibly entertaining read. The story moves along from one catastrophe to the next, all the while narrated by the brave glib survivor. The Martian is a hard to put down, engaging read.
