It’s not my favorite T. Kingfisher book. It still has the congenial tone from the narrator but there is a part with a manuscript that is kind of a slog. That said, I still really liked all the characters and I want to be Foxy when I get older.

Unfortunately not the book for me. The first half was great, in intrigued me and I wanted to find out what and who the twisted ones were.
But as soon as she found the transcripts it went downhill. I didn't understand any of the transcript itself, nor what happens when they find Anna.

Also, how many times can someone mention the characteristics of a coonhound and the pledge week on the radio. Apparently way too much.

Features a hoarder house with a room full of creepy dolls, and that isn't even close to the freakiest thing you'll encounter in its pages.
