Read this to Kindergarten. They enjoyed watching the rabbit try and get his airplane out of a tree. A very simple story with few words allows children to create their own ideas. Love the fact that you have to turn the book sideways for one fun page. The illustrations are filled with whimsy and are eye catching. Great text for covering fiction lesson.

Didn't love this one - not enough there.

With the help of animals of all shapes and sizes, Rabbit helps retrieve Mouse’s airplane from a tree branch. Readers gain understanding from the woodblock and water color illustrations. Beginning readers will be able to tell the story without actually reading the text. Bold pictures with heavy black outlining present a comical look into one of Rabbits misadventures. Very young children can think about a time when they got into trouble and how they “fixed” the issue.

This is a fun little story about a know-it-all rabbit who can't help but dig himself right back into the same whole. I loved the moment when the rabbit and his friend realize they are about to crash right back in the tree. The story manages to make all this fruitless energy spent into a whimsical tale.

Published in 2002. This was a great, humorous book to read! I had a smile on my face when I was done reading it, because it was rather silly. We all need silly. The artist did a great job of depicting the feelings of each animal.

I liked this little story of friendship, but the illustrations, while enjoyable, didn't stand out.

The pictures in this book are fabulous. I could see it holding the attention and getting laughs out of my young readers. I wish there was more text, however.
