Best way to pass time while grading, listening to Joe Ledger performed by Ray Porter.

Re-reading the series - 1/7/2019
4 stars again.

Awesome fun and the creeps in this were nutzo. I enjoyed catching up with Joe, Rudy and Church and look forward to #4!

This totally made up for Dragon Factory! I really enjoyed this book, and even my putting it down for a bit because of exams didn't make me lose any of the build up from this book. In this book, I came to think a sociopathic bad guy was cute, felt betrayed and it even had a cute dog that would eat your face off if told to! Perfect thriller!

I love the Joe Ledger novels. Jonathan Maberry is kind of a genius when it comes to writing out fancy action thrillers that stink of conspiracy theories. I also love that the big bad evil has been maintained and throughout the novels in a believable way. This book is just so much fun to read and you can't help but root for the main characters.

I am really enjoying the Joe Ledger series - kind of glad I waited, as now I am able to just get them one after the other. Ray Porter does a GREAT job with the audio. This one reminded me a bit of The Abominable Dr Phibes with Vincent Price - and I like that the books intertwine the characters, but you don't necessarily have to have read them all to understand what is happening.

Diabolical secret societies, huge world shattering terrorist plots, Joe Ledger and Echo Team kicking ass, what's not to like? While this one may not have had quite as much fighting and action, and Echo was pretty much left on the sidelines in this one, it was still pretty intense throughout. One thing for me, and it isn't the writing, it seems to be an editing error, but the American was given away super early in my copy of the book. Of course you figure out who he is well before the DMS does, but it actually says his name in the sequence when he and the new King of Plagues are walking through the gardens after the initiation ritual is held to welcome Plagues...still, love this series
