"To the girls who fell in love with the library before the beast"

I really enjoyed this slightly retelling of Beauty and the Beast. A great world filled with monsters and how the society is "navigating" that.

I do feel like the narration fell short on the characters. I didn't love them or hate them, they just existed in the story.

The age gap trope is getting old, and I wish that more authors are doing something different with these storytelling's.

I will be reading the next book when it comes out in 2025. I'm not dying for it and will more than likely wait for it to be on Kindle Unlimited or in my library.

Holy fuck did I love this story. The story was addictive and I really like the mix of Beauty and the Beast story elements with Celtic mythology. It's not often that I come across a fantasy story that incorporates Celtic mythology which was a really nice surprise. This story is set is a dystopian world that includes all manner of monsters so I was glad to see that the murky morality wasn't just specific to the MMC but all the characters. This type of story isn't for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
