A fabulous graphic novel about an alternate universe where wishes are bought and sold. I enjoyed how well thought out this world was. And how having a wish is no easy task.
Shubeik Lubeik is a profound and thought-provoking graphic novel that masterfully explores themes of justice, poverty, hope, depression, and grief within a fascinating fantasy framework. Set in a world where wishes are commodities that can be bought and sold, this work follows three characters navigating a society where even magic is entangled in bureaucracy and social inequality. Mohamed's storytelling is emotionally resonant while offering insightful social commentary. The artwork complements the narrative beautifully, creating a rich reading experience that balances moments of despair with glimpses of hope. This remarkable tale of wishes and their consequences offers a poignant reflection on the human condition and the complexities of life well lived.

That was something. The scope, the generations, the commentary, the education, is really where to begin and end about this one. Incredible undertaking that completely delivers .
one of the best graphic novels i've ever read. this thick and self-contained trilogy covers so many feelings, so much of the human condition, so much of Egyptian culture, and does so through creating an entire universe around the extraction of fictional resources that mirrors our world so well and in such a grounded way that it makes you almost forget the "magical" part of magical realism.

A really great graphic novel. I loved each of the three main focus stories. The premise and detailed worldbuilding made for a fascinating read. Highly recommend.
