While there were aspects of this book that I found enjoyable, particularly some character scenes, overall, I feel it could have been executed better. There were too many characters to keep track of, the writing felt amateurish, and the ending was anticlimactic. That said, I'm relieved to have finished this trilogy.

Thinking of the three books together this is a good ending.
This third book follows on from the story and everything falls into place.
As the name of the series says "The Loop", it ends where it all began. Yes, it is a small wonder.
Congratulations to the author. I really enjoyed it.

While reading this story it occurred to me the hypothesis that the story could become a movie or a series. Having thought about it, I have to say that I would like to see neither a movie nor a series of this story.
My imagination is in line with the author's vision. That is enough for me.
I don't want to see any "happy" stuffed into my reality, lol

(…) For ever is a concept that I cannot get my head around, so I don’t try.
I don’t think at all really.
If I think I will hesitate,
and if I hesitate I might back down.
Instead, I put myself into autopilot.
I step into the chamber and take one last look
at the real world. Then I push the button.
There is no door on the modified chamber,
but the sound of moving pieces
and clunking machinery greets me.
And then the needles come, emerging from
their hidden positions like a magician’s trick.
Don’t think, I think.
And then the stab of pain on the insides of my thighs
as the needle pierces the femoral artery
where blood rushes through like dammed water.
I feel my life drain away with my blood.
A final moment of panic rushes through me
and I want to have one last profound thought,
one last moment of life, but there’s no time,
I drown into a blackness I cannot return from.
A trillion years passes in a world of oblivion.
No light, no heaven, no hell, no reuniting
with deceased loved ones.
Just an unknowing void.
And then I’m in a doctor’s waiting room. (…)”

The ending reminded me so much of Divergent, with the main character doing everything he could to save the world, no matter what. So selfless.
