I wanted to love this book but it took me a long time to get through and it was just boring for me. Not really any action just lots of mention of it, the story was interesting but again just so long and played out it just wasn’t it for me.

A solid 3.5 stars ⭐️

I enjoyed the dual POV (sometimes triple), especially when they were consecutive.
More to come :)

This is me rambling and I'm pretty sure I'll be editing this soon once I had my FINAL FINAL THOUGHS. Also MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS.

ALSO, Thank you author and BOMM for having me on this arc tour.

Fun story with good characters.

It is generally overwritten, hence 4 stars, but I still really enjoyed it, hence 4 stars.

I'm sorry but if the rest of the book is like the first 100 pages, I can't do it. It's boring and childish at parts.

Such a solid book! I have been wanting a good pirate book and this was it!! I appreciated the imagery and realism of what it might be like to travel on a ship. Having toured several colonial ships, I was able to vividly create a mental image that made this story all the more captivating.
I really enjoyed the pacing of the book and the multiple points of view. That is quickly becoming my preferred way for a story to be told. It makes the world so much more dynamic!
Something that nagged at me while reading though was the ages that the characters came into their situations. know that is vague but trying not to spoil anything.

I had a hard time getting into this one at the start, but then I churned through it once the plot started moving along a bit more.

The characters are well written and I'm definitely interested in where this story ends because none of the paths ahead seem easy.

Love the voice and cadence of this book. The world building is great and I love a pirate book where there's time spent on a ship.
The slow burn between Declan and Aoife was great. I loved how he protected her and couldn't stay away from her even though he tried.
She has an interesting role in her family but she seems like there's more to her. Love adventures, romance, pirates and puzzles or prophecies.

this was a fun read for me! i haven’t delved into any pirate stories until this one because i didn’t think i would like it. this book surprised me though! it has just as much action as it does a sweet romance. i liked it enough that i will read the next book, but not so much that i had to read it immediately after
