Basically it’s exactly what it says on the back of the box. A twisted Grumpy/Sunshine story with all the right ingredients for a good time. The behaviors in this book would be intolerable and toxic in real life, but behind the shield of dark fiction it’s a great guilty pleasure read. Bonus the smut was so shockingly spicy it had my jaw on the floor—certainly did not expect it to be like THAT. Bravo!

DNF - I'm sure the characters change as the plot goes on, obviously, but the immediate and violent possessiveness Alex has over Ava turned me off so much I know I'm not going to be able to finish this.

idk i liked the thriller aspect of it & the fact they fell in love obviously, i feel like it was just too easy in the end other than the fact that he waited a year for her. she should not have forgiven him.
