This new series has drawn me in hook, line, and sinker. Guen grows up in the human world and was abandoned as an infant. Her life has been interesting to say the least. Thinking she was crazy. But man oh man when the fae princes come into her life, I'd totally take the crazy for that. There is sexy princes, a curse, beautiful worlds, danger, excitement. Cant wait until the next one!

This is a tentative 3.5/4 stars.

Full disclaimer: this is the third M. Young book I've read, from a third series. I hated the first two, but I am just such a sucker for a fantasy RH that I figured I'd give her one last shot, and Booktok floated this title across my FYP several times.

First off: although there's a lot of language around it, we get only one spicy scene at the end. Very slow burn.

The FMC, as other reviews have mentioned, is annoying and somewhat one dimensional/"not like every other girl." We get several dedicated moments throughout the book where she talks about it taking 15 minutes to struggle into her skinny jeans?? The MMCs are all different enough, I suppose, although I'm quite worried that they're all brothers, because I feel like that's going to veer the next book into incest pretty quickly (or they're going to be super strict about minimal group activities) and that's just not my vibe.

However, the world building is interesting enough that I'm going to give the second book a shot.

Wow! This will leave you begging for the next book. There is some intense tension that only gets stronger throughout the book. Guen May see herself as human but she is so much more. Without any memory of her past what she does remember is like a dream. She may have caused the curse that is destroying a Fae realm but she may also be the cure. The three princes/brothers only make things harder and sometimes more confusing for her. What do they feel for her and want? So need the next book now.

Wow. This book takes you from a bustling nightclub to an incredible fairy tale realm. Incredible action, complex characters, a terrible course and sexy tension that makes you want what she's having! I loved it and I definitely love this new world and the sexy fae!

Barely better than the prequel. I'm glad the FMC was at least established as over 18 this time.

In both the prequel and this book, the FMC did or said very repetitive things rather than having a range of experiences. Several chapters in both books ended with her passing out for one reason or another, usually waking up in a different place. Normally I don't bat an eye at something like this, but it happened SO MANY TIMES.

She also keeps saying "you're scaring me" when she's warned about danger. At one point, I think in the prequel, it happened twice in the same conversation. My point is that the author tends to be unnecessarily repetitive and doesn't seem to know how to write varied and/or meaningful dialogue. Not to mention it doesn't even make sense because the guys aren't scaring her, the surrounding danger is.

Also, not a lot happened during this book. It was mostly her running scared from danger and being turned on by the princes. That's literally her range of emotion: fearful and horny. She tries to stand up for herself, but it's not very convincing, and usually is just meant to add to the sexual tension between her and the guys.

While I obviously dislike the main character, I'm still a bit interested in the princes which is the only reason I'm continuing this series for now. This book does end with a cliffhanger and it apparently was in just the right spot to convince me to read the next book. I was seriously considering not finishing the series.

I enjoyed this book more than the first one but I think they could have been one book and it would have felt more complete since there was a lot of mentions of the first book.

I feel like this book needed more substance felt a little rush, I think a slower pace would of worked well and needs to be longer. Which in turn makes it a little frustrating because I just needed more.

The main character was aged up by 2 years thank goodness because I was a bit unsure about that in the first book.

Overall I did enjoy it could of have had a bit more spice tho
