I am always sad when I come to the end of a Royal Spyness book - I enjoy them so much. The addition of Agatha Christie was so much fun. I hope she is a reoccurring character.

I cannot get over the fact that one character says the dinner party will take place on July the fifteenth but it doesn’t happen until the twenty-fifth. How did the editor miss that? It is such an easy thing to catch, it really brings down the quality of the book for me.

Overall the mystery is fine. The highlight is that Georgie has her baby and it’s exciting,  but getting there is a bit of a slog. Queenie is still pretty one dimensional; she’s fat and not very bright, but now she also is sexually inappropriate with the new chef. If you don’t like that character, just get rid of her. It’s a little rough.

I don’t know if I’m going to continue with this series. It seems like the author has really run out of steam with these.
