I know, a Christmas book during spooky season!? Well, let’s just say I finished this one in a day and am desperately hoping for a second novel revolving around Blue Dog Valley! Add this one to your winter TBR

I’ve never had any grandparents, but this is exactly what I envision my imaginary grandma reading while waiting for her cookies to come out of the oven. 🍪👵🏻😂 This book was just too cozy for me and I was reading to get it done, but that’s more a reflection of me than the book.

The narrator for the audiobook was terrible. Almost every sentence uttered by a female character was said with an annoying laughing tone, regardless of whether written as such.

Thank you, @bibliolifestyle and @williammorrowbooks for this #gifted copy and a spot on this book tour!

What does a deaf alpaca who wears a cape, fainting goats in tutus, the valley’s worst sheepdog, and a hairless cat have in common? Not much besides residing in Dr Goldie McKenzie’s new town of Blue Dog Valley after she decided that it was time to drastically change her life. Goldie wasn’t prepared to Blue Dog Valley, it’s residents or her animal patients, but slowly the town’s residents welcome her happily after agreeing to help organize the town’s Christmas carnival except for Cohen aka the town farrier and grump.

Christmas in Blue Dog Valley is an easy, enjoyable Hallmark movie style book complete with a rug tag bunch of animal misfits, nosy neighbors, and one heartwarming story. Goldie left her job and ex fiancée back in L.A. in search of a new beginning and found so much more than she ever expected. She found meaningful friends, a sense of purpose and a potential new relationship. Cohen might be the town grump but he softens for Goldie as she slowly infiltrates her way into the town’s and his heart.

Definitely add this book to your winter seasonal tbr list or go ahead and read it now and use it as a mental escape from the 100 degree temperatures in fall.
