The repetition of “no” on every page is bad enough but to then be told “it’s a book, silly” on the last page, as if being imaginative in coming up with other ways to play is a bad thing, gets this a definite 1 star rating from me.

Love using this board book in comparison with the picture book version to get students thinking about how we might adjust the way we communicate our message depending on our intended audience.

OMG this is an adorable, more kid friendly, version of "It's a book". If you have the first one you have to get this one too. It is very inexpensive and something you could read to children if you'd like! It also looks really cute to display with the larger book :) LOVE LOVE LOVE!

This "little book" is great! The illustrations of the monkey and donkey in diapers are adorable, and I loved the story, too. The suggestions that donkey had for possible uses of the book were hilarious! I liked this version of the story even better than that in [b:It's a Book|7747422|It's a Book|Lane Smith|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1316737426s/7747422.jpg|10577192]. :-)

L'histoire est intéressante. Cependant il n'y a aucune explication sur ce qu'est un livre... L'auteur explique ce qu'il n'est pas possible de faire avec un livre.
