Don’t judge me.... This was the perfect bargain book to get me back into reading now that I have finally graduated!!! I look forward to continuing to read this lighthearted adult romance series.
JUST WOW.
I could not put this book down.
I'm not going to write a long review because I'm in no way a writer but I highly recommend you give this book a read if you're on the fence about it.

Erika has worked hard for years to overcome her difficult past and kickoff her start up, her chance at Angel investing is just what she needs to get her company off the ground. What she wasn't expecting was billionaire and rumored hacker, Blake, stepping in her way. Blake is intrigued by Erika and willing to let go of some of his control to help her become more than she ever dreamed possible. As they work together to launch Erika's business they can no longer deny the feelings growing between them. But will Erika be able to find happiness or will her new business become more then she can handle? Fun, sexy start to the Hacker series. Excited to keep enjoying!
I felt like this book had promise, the blurb was certainly interesting, hacker turned investor CEO and recent college graduate trying to build her startup meet and things get steamy? Sign me up. But the whole thing was SO lackluster. The plot was all over the place, why did it matter that Blake was a hacker if it literally was only barely explained in the last chapter. What was the point of Erica’s rapist being her step-brother??? TRASH. Why did Erica claim she knew exactly what she wanted in life but went through a crisis about what to do every five seconds. And the sex scene felt so disconnected from both the plot and the characters. The sudden use of pet-names in the scenes that weren’t used anywhere else in the story honestly threw me off. So yeah, I didn’t like it.
“La mia mano scivolò sulla sua camicia per sentire il suo cuore battere con un ritmo lento e regolare. Non sapevo nulla del suo cuore, ma qualcosa dentro di me voleva meritarselo. Come sarebbe stato essere desiderata da lui, essere amata da lui?”
Liked the story, didn't realize this was gonna be a BDSM series though, which isn't my kink.
DNF @30% then skimmed a little. I started reading this cause I heard it was a lot like Crossfire which is one of my all time favourite series. This is absolute crap compared to it. Where Gideon Cross falls head over heels for Eva and can’t stand to be without her, Blake is just like “I want you and I can manipulate you into wanting me”. No thank you!
When I came across this series in the bargain section of my local Books-A-Million, I decided to pick them up. I kept looking at the cover of this book, trying to figure out why it looked so familiar. Had I shelved it on goodreads? Read reviews? Wait, do I own it? Sure enough, there it was - sitting pretty in my library. WTF?
I didn't remember anything about this book. Nothing. Nada. I was a little skeptical to purchase the other four books as there has to be a reason to as why I don't recall anything about this book, right?
I took a leap of faith, reread it, and...

I enjoyed it.
I loved the heroine in this book. Erica Hathaway is a force to be reckoned with. She's determined, strong, independent, and goal-oriented. I mean, she is a Havard graduate. The story starts off with Erica trying to keep her fashion social network as her co-founders, Sid and Alli, needed to find a stable job with routine income. Not ready to give up, she goes on a hunt for investors. And that is when she meets Blake Landon.
Blake is a previous hacker-gone-businessman. He is your typical handsome, cocky billionaire bachelor. But not your average computer geek. He's impressed that Erica is standing her ground in a male-dominant career; he's intrigued by her. He also thinks she's beautiful, so he's determined to make her his.
This leads Blake to be over-assertive and Erica to be flighty. They play the typical cat-and-mouse game for the majority of the book, but I didn't mind it. Actually, it helped progress the story and branch it off in different directions. So when she would run away, something would happen with Alli, Sid, Heath, or Marie.
There was a big reveal at the end that I didn't see coming. Whoa...
If you couldn't tell, I am excited that I went ahead and purchased the following four books. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I have supposedly read this before. Apparently, "past me" couldn't appreciate a good billionaire romance.

This was pretty basic chic novel... People fell in love, they face a trouble in their relationship, they overcome the trouble etc. Was quick to read but didn't quite do it for me... Would love to have more depth in the story.
