What an interesting time to be reading this book. What happened to the women in this story was devastatingly sad. This story was eye opening and heart wrenching. It opened my eyes and hurt my heart to learn of the type of life women have been given in this country. The beauty and the optimism at the end of the story was uplifting and yet so sad. As our country pulled our soldiers out of the country after 20 years of trying to make their country a better place. Now is the time to be reading this story. My heart reaches out to those trapped in such a terrifying place.
