khaled hosseini has done it again! i really didn’t think he would be able to top ‘the kite runner’ but he did. again, this one made me bawl so hard, mariam is just one of the most tragic characters i’ve ever seen in literature, her story just breaks my heart but the toughness of her spirit also inspires me in some way. and i’m very happy she killed that pile of dog shit Rasheed, good for her <33
