I really enjoyed this book. It was a well thought out and well written story of self discovery in the midst of grief and loss. It was a very relatable story and I really enjoyed it. I felt like I needed to know how the FMC ended the book, but it’s missing something for me to rate it 5 stars.
I listened to the first half and used the ebook for the second half. The ebook was a much better experience than listening!

"A person's troubles are not measured by the size of those troubles, but how much they weigh on the individual carrying them."

This was another book club pick that resonated with me. Maddie's maturity level is often juxtaposed with her innocence since she is tasked with carrying the weight of family responsibilities, particularly after her father's diagnosis. I am the same age now as Maddie is in this book. She is living my quintessentially mid-20s experience, an era of transition and change in family, friendship, and dating. Many of the topics covered in this book mirror my life at this stage. Maddie's is a story of the power of confidence and not allowing the desires of others to dictate your life.
