Pucking Revenge is the second book in the series (or third if you count the full universe like I do!), and it gave me everything I want in a hockey romance—fake dating, friends-to-lovers, a cinnamon roll hero, and a hilarious found family dynamic that stole my heart.

This story follows Brooks, the star goalie, and Sara, his best friend who works in PR for his team. After a nasty breakup, Brooks ropes Sara into a fake relationship to show her ex she’s moved on… but what starts as a favor between friends slowly turns into something real. Their transition from friends to more felt so natural and well-paced—I was rooting for them the entire time.

Brooks is just the ultimate good guy. Kind, patient, and low-key swoony, he’s the type of book boyfriend who makes your heart melt. And his relationship with his brothers? Iconic. The group chat scenes had me laughing out loud—they brought such a strong found family vibe to the book, and I genuinely loved every second of their chaos.

Without giving anything away, there’s also a twist involving Brooks that I did not see coming—in the best way possible. Let’s just say, our sweet goalie has a little surprise up his sleeve, and it adds such a fun layer to the story.

If you’re a fan of friends-to-lovers, fake dating, and hockey boys who love hard and fiercely protect their people, Pucking Revenge needs to be on your TBR.

I liked a lot of things about this book.
I liked the hockey aspect, the brothers, the funny characters.

The two main characters are super sweet and this is a friends to lovers. They are also very fun together, it's nice to see a couple that doesn't take themselves so serious all the time.

The pacing was a bit off and I could have done without all the characters from two series and all their background and story building. It just seemed like a lot.

I was also hoping for a bigger revenge ending than what we got.

Love the Dawson's Creek references
