It was as if Sherlock needed to die in order to breathe new life into the series! Very entertaining and a lot of fun.
The Empty House, Black Peter, Charles Augustus Milverton, Six Napoleons, The Golden Prince-Nez and The Abbey Grange were particular favourites.

Sherlockâs return was sort of anti-climatic. My favourite story was The Priory School.
Another good collection of Holmes stories. There were 2 that were a little sub standard.
I can certainly see why these books endure today.

The first few stories and the last story are not the best (I really struggled getting back into Sherlock and his world), but the middle chunk of this book is great.
I found myself chuckling at just how ridiculous and wonderful Sherlock is. There's a point where he's like "I woulda made a good criminal" and just yes, Sherlock is literally one degree away from being a batshit crazy criminal mastermind. And also we got wonderful Sherlock and Watson moments that warmed my heart.
Finally, Sherlock's dramatics never fail to entertain me. I'm glad I ended up enjoying most of this book, and I am excited to finally continue and finish this series this year!
Some stories I really enjoyed in this:
The Adventure of the Solitary Cyclist
The Adventure of the Charles Augustus Milverton
The Adventure of the Golden Pince-Nez
The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter
The Adventure of the Abbey Grange
