My expectations after the ending of The memoirs of Sherlock Holmes have been shattered with such a brief continuity. I'm getting tired of these short stories, I can't enjoy the development of the plot.
It was good, nothing new or mind blowing. It's a crime-of-the-week style but hasn't felt that way. After 6 books, I'm surprised it hasn't but I've been breaking them up between books.

My favorite of the Sherlock Holmes books! The writing style is so different from the other two and gives us a look at the more human side of Holmes. He seems more personable in this one. All his weird habits that have been portrayed in recent media come out in this book as well.
Really enjoyed "The Adventure of the Dancing Men"!

Another fun collection that I listened to on audio!
Favorites: Empty House, Solitary Cyclist, Six Napoleons
Least Favorites: Black Peter, Golden Prince-Nez, Missing Three-Quarter, Abbey Grange - these all involved rather a lot of the "tons of backstory that Holmes found out (or the culprint confessed) which the reader would have had no chance of guessing".
