This was a fun cutesy cosy whodunnit. The writing felt a bit simplistic with some sections that felt like anachronisms, but I enjoyed it, I found the characters likeable and the plot worked out nicely. This book got me out of a reading slump.

Fun story in a somewhat unique setting/time frame. Loved Archie and Bartleby. Hated Cecily. Having Violet and others talk like she was 70 was annoying when more than once it was referenced she was about 40. Interesting final reveal without being quite too convoluted.

Also, Bartleby the wonderful cat is fine at the end with one WTF moment prior to that.
