Okay - so a supporting character disappears at the end of the book. I listened to the audiobook. Was it abridged? Did I nod off? This character lost his place of work and wasn’t mentioned in the big climax. A beloved pet was rescued but there is no indication in the denouement that this character was told that. So many strings tied up but no mention of this shop assistant?
Did I miss that? This lives free in my head and it is driving me crazy!
