Really enjoyed this book. Could barely stand the awful things that were happening to Natalie throughout most of this book. But loved the schemers getting their comeuppance in the end. Very enjoyable read.

This one took me quite a while to get through. I kept putting it down and moving on to other books. I cannot put my finger on exactly what I did not like about this book. The characters were okay - fairly believable and somewhat likeable. I felt that Natalie did take, and get away with, several unnecessary and unvelievable risks. I was disappointed by the eventual outcomes for both Kelly(the up and coming anchor who completely lacked south, class and scruples) and Tony(the self-obsessed station manager who focessed solely on peronal gain).
The ending was quick, and did not neccessarily tie uo all the lose ends.
I suppose it was not bad for a freebie, but not one I will be recommending.

Really enjoyed the plot of this book. It was well written and fast-paced which kept me interested in what was happening. Really well done!

It was free, so I'm tempted to give it 4 stars for that. Entertaining read. I was invested enough in the characters to want to know what happened to them. Loved who I was supposed to. Disliked who I was supposed to dislike. Actually liked the heroine and didn't feel she whiney or flighty like a lot of lighter read heroines. All in all, a good read.

A bit different from what I'm used to reading....the hateful people were quite hateful. I enjoyed seeing the bit of comeuppance at the end, but it was too real and thus they didn't suffer nearly enough for my tastes. And I'm not too good with affairs, especially when the people I'm supposed to like the most are the perpetrators....but I guess everyone makes mistakes. *shrugs*

I read this book on my Kindle. I was looking for a fun, quick read and got pretty much what I expected. Through the first half of the book I found Natalie Daniels to be fairly annoying. In fact, most of the characters were annoying. But for a Sunday afternoon book it did the job.

It was a light read with some good lines and a few plot points I didn't predict, but the affair between Natalie and Geoff seemed hypocritical because there were several references about Natalie's ex husband being a cheater and was used as a negative against him and the anchor we're supposed to dislike that's usurping her. Yet in Natalie and Geoff's case it's supposed to be romantic though he's engaged? That subplot marred the story for me.
