This whole series is very average. The first 50-60% of this book runs in parallel to the previous book, so you’re seeing the same scenes just from 2 different perspectives.
Luckily the second half was better. Got to see more growth in the characters and there were new things happening so it didn’t feel repetitive.
This book, even more so than the others, made it very clear that this author isn’t American with incorrect words being used. This is a pet peeve of mine, if you’re going to set a book in America then you shouldn’t be using British, I believe, terminology.
The narrators did a good job.

“Sometimes I feel like my insides are a raging flood of emotions when I look at you, but I don’t mind drowning.”
We’re back with Kiara and Nino Falcone!
Oh my goodness I love them! As the Falcone family grows, Kiara’s baby fever grows too. Sometimes it doesn’t come so easy for a couple and this book highlights a journey to parenthood for Kiara and Nino.
Trigger warning:

*
child abuse in this book.
I wasn’t prepared and it was hard to read.
I’m someone going through infertility (after three kids. It’s a mindfuck) so reading about a newborn being starved and burned and dumped in a trash can..
My heart.

This was my absolute favourite book so far. Nino and Kiara are really my favourite couple and can’t wait to see more of them. I hope there will be some scenes of them in the next two books. And I really wanna see them be parents so hopefully Allessio and Massimo also get books!!!
