El amor que siento por Nino y Kiara es tremendo,
Team Falcone siempre.
Me da mucha pena Adamo, yo solo quiero protegerlo.

I was so excited to pick up this one- who doesn’t want to see more of Kiara and Nemo?!
Something really strange happens though around the 60-70% mark with these books… it’s as if the author runs out of steam and just wants to wrap up?! The characters start to feel unfamiliar and story starts to feel rushed lmfao. I felt like this happened in book 3 too.

This book was everything that was required to bring Nino and Kiara’s story from Twisted Emotions closure. This was full of family moments, Nino’s protective nature, hurt, pain and so much more.

This starts with the time Remo kidnaps Seraphena and shows Kiara’s emotions on the matter. The four brothers struggle with their past throughout the book. The bond between the brothers is unbreakable and twisted. Kiara grows her bond with each brother and makes her way into their lives. Absolutely lovely. Kiara was such a sweetheart to give them a feel of home.

I liked every single character and their bonds and the growth throughout the book. This book shows so many things that I can’t really get over it. Remo and Nino find closure and Adamo finds his way out of addiction while Savio plays the role of mediator between the brothers.

If you are reading their stories, you have to read this book to understand them and their journey.

Kiara and Nino finally find their happiness after so many horrible things. Even if the brothers are ruthless, I can’t say they are actually bad people. Their soul is just made of love. They loved each other and their family. This is much darker and can be traumatic so read the trigger warnings first.

Yup, just as I predicted. My favorite couple in this series.

The events of 'Twisted Pride' in Nino-Kiara's perspective. This book picked up right after Nino's confession to Kiara, with a promise of more glorious content from the pair. Through Remo and Serafina's conflicted eyes we couldn't see much of the state of Falcone family in the previous book; tackling outer threats hardly left space for dealing with inner turmoil. This book focused on the family battling their own demons, ripping the chains of the past and helping each other up. What happens when the secrets they kept hidden to protect their loved ones lead them closer to destruction? I really loved how the story revolved around the brothers shared past and strong bond, shielding each other no matter what the cost, and learning to accept happiness.

Nino and Kiara:
Ever since her marriage to Nino, Kiara has been determined to accept the Falcones as the family she never had. Kiara is a force to be reckoned with, she singlehandedly shaped the Falcone brothers and brought warmth into their cold hearts while fighting the horrors of her past to not let them taint her present. Nino is the most amazing husband to Kiara as well as a great brother, he's patient and always in control but also fiercely protective. Despite his inability to feel emotions, he never stopped trying to be better for them. He makes sure not to bring his dark side home to his wife and to be his best self around her.

Remo and Serafina:
Remo hardly manages to keep his reflexes up when Serafina is concerned. His past twisted him up in the most horrendous way and he protects his family with every twisted part of him. He often lets anger blur his rational thoughts and has a hard time staying in control but never in front of his brothers whom he practically raised. Even after Serafina escaped the Outfit territory with Remo to build a perfect home for their child, she had a hard time grasping her feelings for him. She wondered if she could see herself living in a place where she was once held captive but as her love won over her conflicts, she accepted the Falcones as her own.

Savio and Adamo:
The vicious charmer who can make a heart beat as fast as he can stop one—that's Savio Falcone. He's wild, the center of every party and has a sweet teeth; humour and inappropriate jokes are mostly his coping machanism other than women and the thrill of spilling blood. He doesn't trust people easily but for the ones he does, he'll go to the end of the world. The youngest Falcone, Adamo, is the most kindhearted of all and prefers not to get mixed up in Camorra business, much to his brother's displeasure. He often disapproves of the things his brothers have to do, he's the ultimate rulebreaker with a taste for trouble.

Fabiano and Leona:
Fabiano considered the Falcones his brothers from the day Remo took him in and offered him a place by his side. He fought beside them with utmost loyalty for a long time. His loyalty was put to test when he fell for Leona and broke his oath without the knowledge of Remo, who later challenged him to a death match. He earned back Remo's trust by saving his life from a sudden attack where the match was being held. Leona stepped into an unknown city and ran into unknown trouble, Camorra's enforcer Fabiano himself. They both came from different worlds but Leona couldn't help falling for him. They eventually bought a home closer to the Falcones; before Serafina's arrival, she was the only confidante Kiara had and soon they welcomed Serafina in their circle.

The Falcone Kids:
Serafina found out about her pregnancy when she was back home, released from Remo's captivity. The twins, Nevio and Greta, were looked down on for being Remo's children. She wanted her kids to be treated with respect like they deserved to be, so she freed Remo, who surrendered to the Outfit to save Adamo, from her family's safe house and left everything behind for once and all. Nevio and Greta were about 5 months old when they met their father. Nevio was a ticking bomb, always keeping everyone on their toes, while Greta was shy and observant. Kiara and Nino had been trying for a child for close to two years. Kiara was near devasted with worry that her past may have ruined her chance of being a mother, that was when they found Alessio, an infant, thrown in the garbage outside one of Camorra's business buildings. They got to know that his mother, one of their prostitutes, threw him out after a month of his birth. Alessio was sickly and injured when Nino and Remo rescued him and brought him home, Kiara welcomed him with open arms. The quiet kid with striking blue eyes instantly became a part of their family. Within months of Alessio's adoption, Nino and Kiara were blessed with a child of their own, they named him Massimo.

Quotes I Liked:

“One day I’m going to kill every single person who made you feel less. They should pray that your kindness stops me long enough.”

“Sometimes I feel like my insides are a raging flood of emotions when I look at you, but I don’t mind drowning.”

“No. I enjoy seeing happiness on your face. It’s as if I’m feeling it myself.”

“I love you exactly as you are. And maybe you are a monster, but you are my monster.”

“I’ve never been anyone else’s, Kiara. The women of my past, I didn’t see them. They were there, but they might as well have not been. There’s only you, all I’ve ever felt is only for you.”
adventurous dark emotional funny hopeful mysterious sad medium-paced

As I always find with series’ that have a second book for a couple, it felt very novella like even though it was the length of any of the others in the series. It recapped the events in twisted pride and some stuff afterwards that we didn’t see. But regardless of the fast pace I really enjoyed seeing Nino and Kiara again because ugh

I didn't think I would love this one as much as the others since it was basically a continuation, but I did!

So the first book of Nino and Kiara, I didn’t feel it at at first even though I gave it a 4/5 but this book!
