I read this at Target while a Target employee awkwardly stocked on the aisle over. 8/10 would do it again

I FINALLY READ IT!!

It was awesome. Already been so fond of the film adaption and now reading the book it fills me with joy. Again just like Horton Hears A Who the original book differed from the film. Cindy Lou was only 2 years old in the original while in the film she was a bit older. But it didn't matter that much for me and I get it why in the shorter version (book) she was only 2, to support the plot and make it more realistic, so that was fine for me.

I really like about this book that it is about Christmas as it is my favourite holiday and it's interesting that the protagonist of this story is actually evil and not the stereotypical kind and hero-like person. Not only in the film but also in the book the evil protagonist has a great character development and changes his ways. It's touching and so unique! And that's why I love the Grinch so much. He doesn't only have a unique way of thinking and changing, but the whole Christmas topic makes it even better. I totally can see now why it was adapted into a film. The plot and characters are just great! And the message behind this story that Christmas is not only about presents but about family and being together is the best message one can get from Christmas.

Everyone who is thinking of reading this book or at least watched the film and liked it, read it. Trust me, you won't regret it.
