I feel that this might have been the first book I ever read by myself and it is AMAZING. In just a couple of pages Dr. Seuss shows growth, compassion, and redemption that anyone can understand and resonate with. Please, please share this story as it embodies an important lesson for all to learn which for me was that change is possible for anyone even for someone with with a heart 2 sizes 2 small.

the christmas-hating grinch, dr. suess' own scrooge. another story I knew long before knowing about dr. seuss and the book the film was adapted from. the grinch tries to ruin christmas since he hates it so much, but with a heartwarmiing ending.

"The Grinch hated christmas! the whole christmas season!
now, please don't ask why. no one quite knows the reason.
it could be his head wasn't screwed on just right.
it could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight.
but i think that the most likely reason of all
may have been that his heart was two sizes too small"

Again this is another of those Dr Seuss books I remember reading as a child, and now I read this to my children. This is my favorite of his books. I think it's because of the Christmas setting and the feel good factor. Just a all time classic children's book!
