The Last Dragon of the East is a gripping tale of two lost fated lovers battling for their lives against an evil so foul. The story is rich in Chinese mythology that focuses on threads of fate, across many lifetimes.

Sai is a tender-hearted, sweet character that you are either annoyed with or enjoy. This simple tea shop owner embarks on a journey that thrusts him into a realm of violence, yet in that chaos he finds beauty.

The two fated characters are faced with numerous challenges that test their connection. Kwan brings a touch of humor to their dynamic that I couldn't help but giggle at. Yes, I said giggle.

It was heart wrenching to finally piece all the ancient stories of the three dragons come to light, but it makes for a beautiful love story filled with longing, and devotion. Perhaps not in this lifetime but rest assured, we will find each other in the next.

Originally thought it was gay so it was deeply unnerving to hear it was straight, and then I struggled to get to the point where the action was supposed to start. I really disliked having to suffer through a soulmate hetero story, that’s not what I’m really actively looking to read rn. It was pride month and I wanted something gay

It's alright. I do love the inclusion on Chinese folklore and mythology. Predictable plot. I wish that there was more development to the romance rather than the insta-love we got. Yeah, they're fated, but the red string of fate was gray. There could also have been more world building.
