This may be one of the most powerful books I have ever read. Beautifully articulate, passionate, and enthralling, Nelson Mandela excitedly holds your hands through the journey of his life. While the world has lost an incredible man, he left us with his legacy, and a duty to keep his dreams of freedom alive.
intresting, but confess, the politics aspect bored me.
So good and so interesting. It's a long read and a pretty dense read, but absolutely worth it. I learned so much.
challenging
informative
slow-paced
Im glad to have read this, though at times it was stretchy i would say this is a staple for anyone broadening horizons. a first count account of history
Nelson Mandela led an inspiring life, but I felt like this book covered every single day of it. I am in awe of his dedication to equality and justice and his willingness to do whatever it took to achieve them. I wonder if the world will ever see another individual so able to foster reconciliation and compromise while maintaining determination and selflessness in a quest to achieve true equality for all their countrymen.
Listening to the audio book. Not the best writing - written like a news story. No drama, but I am reading it to educate myself. Not too compelling to me but will get thru it.
OK, apologies proceed this review. I know he's a global hero and all, but this book just did not satisfy. Too many parts were glossed over. It was interesting, but read more like a text than a novel.
I still have so many questions.

This book is a mix of historical document and a book written for a general audience. Throughout the first half my continual thought was that the book needed a thorough editor. The last third was a much better read.
