Amazing

Griffin and Lenore are total opposites. They don't know what's happened when they meet. Incidentally head over heels almost instantly. But, Griffin has some secrets. Will his secrets make or break them?

Griff is such an interesting character. a Texas ranger, member of the Uncertain Saints, and a grieving father. one stormy night, he needs batteries but with power out all over town, the only open place is an adult toy shop. enter Lenore. She's not what he expected and he's certainly not prepared for her.
I loved how Lenore refused to give up. I loved her claim to fame and her relationship with Remy. I hope he gets a story too.

Holy Canoly!

This book guys, I am telling you is amazing. This was the first book for me by this author and I can tell you it will NOT be the last. I was sucked in from the very start right to the end. I didn't want it to end.
Those are the best kind of books aren't they? The ones that leave you wanting more and with a smile on your face that was this book for me.

Griffin the smexy beast will find his way into your heart of hearts he is a fellow I want to get to know. I want to smack his ex-wife. And I want to give this larger than life man a huge hug.

Lenore is freaking ACES people. I love that she was a strong female character right from the beginning. She might be shy but shy does NOT mean weak. Boy does she have a backbone! I loved that. I loved that even though life was kicking her she wasn't laying low. She was still herself.

I am intrigued by the rest of the cast of characters. I am so OCD that I finished this book at 1:30 am last night but won’t start the second book till I write my review, because I don’t want anything to distract me from it! Ha

The narration was awesome! I have listened to both these narrators before and enjoyed their books. Kendall bring the emotion to Lenore I loved that. And Masons voice.. all kinds of yummy.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

*Audio Review*

This book was so fun and fast paced, I felt like it ended too fast. I laughed a lot and swooned a lot too!! Lenore is a great characters, she made me laugh so many times. Griffin is one of my favorite type of male characters, he is tough but has a great heart, he is good and just wants to protect everyone. He really was the guy next store. Together these two are so hot and heavy from the beginning. The one thing I have to say is that the title makes you think this is an MC book but really it's not, just because the male characters are in a club but the book isn't about the club really at all, it more just a detail of their lives. I will be continuing the series ASAP.

The narration was good, they fit perfectly for these characters!

I’m rally not sure how I liked this one so much when I first read it. I thought the H was rude and didn’t really care for the h other than sex. Idk not my favorite

Men who spy on their SOs, sneaking into a stranger’s house while they are asleep, bullet doing a miraculous surgery on the brain stem, police killing people with no impunity, pastor sending people to shoot a child and doctors and technicians, torture, abduction, violence, alligator killing, PTSD, gun trafficking, disappearing kid, almost drowning kids, cheating, jealousy, nudes, “biker chic” nonsense, sons of anarchy references, biker gang with law enforcement, arson, sex toys.

This was really too much to make any romantic sense.

The sexy parts got me through this book, and they weren’t that explicit.

I almost didn't read this one. I've been reading through all the LLV books and some of her heroes have begun to wear on my sanity LOL. For the most part, I actually liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. It was a solid 3 stars until the end.

It included a trope that I absolutely hate in books "leaving your woman for her own good." It actually happens twice in the book and the first time Lenore was in on it and understood. The second time was at the end and that is ultimately what dropped the 3rd star for me. Lenore was very understanding and set about "winning back" the man who left her for own good. Honestly. That is complete bullshit to me. The only reason I didn't drop down to one star is because I actually really enjoyed the book overall.

Even Griffin's disappearing on her again and again. That is a thing that happens fairly frequently in LLV books I've discovered. However, Lenore put up with it, until she didn't. So that's on her. Also, his disappearances were from working and being a big clueless dumbass instead of a brooding manbaby, so I could forgive the appearance of that tired trick in LLV-land.

I realize I should maybe give up on LLV, as I've read further into her work, I've found myself disliking her stuff more than liking it. However, there is something about it that keeps me going on...for now anyway. When I like her stuff, I really like it. I think if I just hated it all I would have stopped after a couple books. I appreciate her alpha heroes when they are actually alphas and not brooding manbabies or assholes that she is trying to pawn off as alpha.

Quite an interesting story, which unfortunately didn't blow my mind. I love books about motorcycle clubs and their members, but reading Whiskey Neat I felt that something was missing here. The very idea for the book was very good, bit of a shame that execution wasn't the best.

Griffin Storm is a Texas Ranger and a member of the Uncertain Saints MC - smal group of law enforcement officials who have enough loopholes in the legal system and they are trying to help others in their own way, which is not always in line with the law. Each of them has experienced some losses in the life, and in some degree are broken.

"We were men at the end of our ropes, pushed too far by unfair, flawed justice system. We only wanted those who did wrong to be punished fr their crimes."

Griffin meets Lenore in a sex shop, that she owns. And despite being wrapped up in revenge, he can not forget her.

To tell the truth I have very mixed feelings about this book.

On the one hand, very often I rolled my eyes at the absurd situations that have occurred, such as the fact that the heroine killed a big alligator ... I mean really?? I'm not saying that this is not possible, but somehow is hard for me to believe.

Or thoughts of heroes in the type of:

"It been only days after I'd first met Griffin. He'd rocked my world twice. Once by fucking me into oblivion, and second by holding me through the night"

Where does it come from? Have I missed something? Reading the last 29% of the book I haven't felt such a bond between them !!! What's happening?

Unfortunately, such situations happened quite often.

I was looking for ... I do not know ... I think some of the explosion.

Mixes of intensity, tension and sexuality. Alpha male biker who finds his old lady.  Which is what you normally found in the stories about the MC.

Alpha male biker may I found but everything else was like a train wreck - it was hard to read, but I could not stop.

However, regardless of the above, the overall story was quite entertaining and interesting. It was the first book I read by Lani Lynn Vale, and although I found in it more cons than pluses I still finished it :)
