I have conflicting feelings about this. To be clear, this is not at all a bad story. There were just some things that I just didn't vibe with. The writing is really good. The descriptions and wording really did help keep me engaged with the story. Also, the romance itself had potential, I just struggled to feel any true connection between Rapha and Jae. We mostly only get Rapha's POV, with a few chapters from Jae's POV. We just went from Rapha being obsessed with Jae, they hook up, and then there are suddenly lots of feelings after only two interactions. It didn't feel believable. Somehow, the story felt both too long and not long enough, in that I think more page time could have been used to develop the connection between Rapha and Jae in the beginning, and less on some other things that didn't feel relevant to the romance and plot. I really liked Jae's character and wished we got more of his POV. He's a bit of a mystery for a lot of the story, and outside of his few POV chapters, he almost seems cold. Overall, I mostly enjoyed myself and didn't struggle to finish this, but there were a few things that keep this from being a favorite.

I was SCREAMING the first time someone said gay rockstar x kpop idol, like I know the potential we could get from this rare combination.
And yes, in fact I do love it and had a great time reading Rapha and Jae’ story. Especially on how the author described some differences between entertainment culture in Korea and America (such as; the scene where Jaehyun felt he didn’t do well on his performance and Rapha being really confused about it, or when he said he needed to stay at the practice room until midnight).
I was excited to give this book 4 stars until those last chapters. Accidental pregnancy 5 chapters before the end was just so fudging ridiculous! That shi really add nothing but unnecessary drama to the story. Not to mention that the ending felt a bit rushed as well and terribly done.
I also recently realized, after finishing this book that Rapha’s inta lust and obsession at the beginning was a bit too much.
Again, there was plot holes that I really wanted to talk about but too lazy to write it down, so I will stop here ig.
Well overall it was a pretty decent read. I’m really sad not be able to give this book more than 3 stars but I guess I’ll try to give the author another chance.
