I liked this overall, but wish that it was more of a two person POV. I just wanted Jae's perspective, okay.

"There was before him and after him, two sides, and I am two completely separate people on each."

I love how Rapha describes Jae all through the book. It's sweet and alluring.

I listened to the audiobook version of this, and I feel like that was a mistake. The narrator did a good job, but the pronunciation of S. Korea words left a lot to be desired. I also wish Jae had a different voice in this. I didn't take any points/stars off for this.

For the story itself, I was really REALLY distracted by the fact that Jae is so obviously based on Jimin from BTS. i was expecting a mish-mash amalgamation of a few big-name Kpop idols, not just one. Every detail about Jae that matched up with Jimin kept pinging in my head like a pinball machine, lol. And I love Jimin. He's my ult. It was just weird.

Spoiler- Pink hair
-Dancing barefoot in white under a blue light.
- Dancing in a corset.
- Being muscular, but slim.
- Being adorable, but sexy at the same time.
- High, ethereal voice when singing.

This was recommended on many lists, and I wish I'd liked it more.

My first Scarlett Drake book. Will definitely be reading her other books.

Really interesting plotting - the flashbacks. The dual POV’s.

The progression of the relationship felt real. You understood everyone’s motivations.
