It has been a while since the previous volume so when this cam through the letter box it was instantly opened and I dived right in.
This volume reveals some dark secrets but before doing so we learn about Teacher's past and how he came to be infected with the curse. We also see the true brutality of the insiders and their approach to containing the curse.
We've done the right thing. Crush every trace. Kill them while they're human. That's our duty as insiders.
With Shiva having given her soul back to Teacher and the two coming to terms with the secrets which have been revealed we rapidly are approaching the end of this thrilling series. Another 5 stars.

In this volume, there's more mystery and finally we got the story from Teacher's past, which is really sad, lots of sad moments here. And the people is just cruel, the real monster is the people, it's just heartbreaking.
I took a break from reading this series because of all the crying and trying to strengthen my heart so I won't cry so much. Well in this volume I still crying, not as much as the previous volumes, but still ugly cry. It's a sad bleak heartbreaking read and I can't not love it, I'm so invested in the story and Teacher and Shiva. Super highly recommended.
