A book that felt purposefully obtuse in its intentions and language. I did appreciate beckett facing us with perspectives that are otherwise underrepresented, those who feel lost and are silent, removed from our reality and seemingly living without meaning. I did think the second story was a good bit better than the first, it feels like it holds a lot of room for disection. While there were definitely positive aspects to these stories, they also just felt incredibly difficult to understand and I wasn't left with much satisfaction when I did understand what beckett had to say. Even so the stories were indeed short so I was able to get through them relatively quickly. Reminded me a little of dostoyevsky's notes from underground... which is a book I need to finish.

"The earth makes a sound as of sighs and the last drops fall from the emptied cloudless sky. A small boy, stretching out his hands and looking up at the blue sky, asked his mother how such a thing was possible. Fuck off, she said."
