This was good. It wasn't as compelling as I'd hoped for; suffering always detracts from interest, for me. There were some clever plot choices. I wanted to like David more, but I have problems with characters who accept mistreatment, oh well.
I guess some people didn't like the resolution? This being a romance, and set in a world where gods are real, I'm not sure what else they thought might happen.
