That last chapter gave me so much whiplash I’ve never been so glad I bought the first two volumes together ‘cause it’s straight to the next volume for me!

i was always like “oh don’t use goodreads for logging the manga i read cuz it’s diff~” but 2023 me says f that so i can remember what the hell i read lol. my aging goldfish brain needs to track what i’ve read!!

i love the way jun mayuzuki draws men… i love finding a mangaka who draws men exactly how i like them. the sad old divorcee man in “after the rain” is top tier sexy pathetic ojisan. delicious! i’m pumped because it’s labeled for mature so i can see how truly horny of a freak mayuzuki is, “after the rain” could only scratch the surface of horny freak town, aka my hometown.

anyways gorgeous art, weird story so far. as expected!

I'm sold. A romance story that has a whole lot more going on than I ever expected. In a city that seems to breathe nostalgia in a world that doesn't seem to change, a one sided love story begins. Both the main characters work at a rental agency and it seems that they were once married, but the girl has no remembrance of it, and the boy seems to only remember who the girl once was. I'm really blown away by the artwork and way it feels so smooth, sensual, and nostalgic. The final chapter of this volume shows that the world around our heroine has decayed but is also seen as this lively nostalgic place. Not sure where the story is headed, but I'm hooked.
