Found it confusing and quite enjoyed it, but also didn’t always understand what it was trying to say. Didn’t enjoy the ending, but I appreciate it’s because it was unfinished
Incredible book. The problem was in me. My logical mind couldn't stand to not know the crime and not have an option based on that. Which I know is the point of the book. I will go back to it in a couple of years to try again, for sure.
I understood this novel as a thought experiment, an exploration of what could/would happen in a society with frustrating opacity around the legal system, guilt and innocence, etc.
Paranoid and dizzying. Dreamlike characters and scenes whose unclear natures only contribute to the overwhelming sense of frustration that Josef K. and the reader are constantly being subjected to. The dialogue seems both allegorical and intentionally meant to set a tone of futility in understanding what's going on.
Worth the read. I wish I had read it for a book club though, as there is a lot to talk about.
