Blind spot follows Tucker who is running from his tragic past and Sydney who has visions of other peoples pasts and futures. After meeting Tucker,  Sydney is drawn into his life by her gift whether he wants her to be there or not.

This book had excellent potential and I wanted to love it but too many factors let it down. Starting with the good points; the plot involving Tuckers past was really good and is the main reason I finished the book. I found myself skipping over other parts to get to the plot heavy sections. The ending was also satisfying and loose ends tied up nicely. Unfortunately there were aspects of the book that really did not work for me. The main one being the characters, in particular, Sydney. I just didn’t click with her and found her highly irritating. She also wasn’t particularly well developed. Other than her her gift and being rather interfering, we don’t find out a great deal more about her and I just found her kind of flat. Tucker was marginally better, I at least understood his motivations for his actions.
My other main criticism was the romance. I didn’t enjoy reading it. Tucker was just plain disgusting in his original treatment of Sydney while his drinking was at his peak and I was meant to believe she was turned on by his drunken groping? Just nope. Then it was just constant boring sex scenes that I eventually just skimmed over to get to the interesting parts of the book. I would have actually enjoyed this book more without the romance element at all and it being more of a thriller. More could have been explored with the situation between Sydney’s parents that could have been interesting as well.

I’m sad that I didn’t enjoy the book more as the premise was really interesting to me but the execution just wasn’t to my taste. More character development and less sex would have improved this book in my opinion.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
